Great interview, I only shoot film. I was asked to join someone my age to start a photography business back in the 80's. At the time I was using a dirt cheap SLR and burning through film mostly for fun with a few paid jobs, doing ok for a teenager. The guy who asked me wanted us to get a business loan to rent a shop, buy a car, find a studio and replace our equipment with all new stuff. This seemed like a really bad idea so I backed out almost immediately. He went ahead alone, doing everything he'd wanted before getting a single customer and went bust. I carried on with the same cheap SLR for another decade because it did everything I needed. I have much nicer film cameras now and a far wider range of formats, none of which were bought using debt. I bought an Panasonic S5 3 years ago because I decided to use a digital camera to scan my negatives instead of buying an Epson. I've not used it for two years, so that was a rare waste of money for me. I might if I sold it and the extra macro lens just make enough to buy the Epson v850. I made the mistake primarily because I had plans to build a darkroom that didn't and now likely won't ever happen.

I loved SI all the way up to the early 2000s. I agree with you Matt with SI not taking care of their exclusive branding. They were very short sighted.

When I was 5 an interviewer once asked you what your father did for a living. You said "My father is a Sanitation Man" My dad said this child is so intelligent. Around 1981 I recall just off of the intersection of Imperial highway and Beach Blvd behind some old store or market place there was a decrepit old two story house barley standing. As teenagers we'd hang out inside of it. Recently I found a photo of that home taken in the 1890s complete with a horse and buggy parked in front with the family who had built it and their family name was Bush. I've never been able to find out anything about them or that house. Thanks for the video. I love the La Habra history.

Texas here. I'm 75 and cut almost three quarter of an acre on the two separate batteries, a little rest between bag dumps. Grass was tall. Outstanding cut. The packaging was exceptional. At least, I don't have to worry about bad gas, pulling a start cord, and oil changes.

Sharpen the blades ever other cut with a hand file and your golden.
